About Charity Squares

The idea for this site started with a fundraiser that used football squares as a way to raise some money for a good cause. But the process of handing around a sheet of paper with a grid on it so people could choose their squares and then pay for their selections was not good. You pretty much had to be in the room at the time to play, but getting that many people together in one place to complete the process was cumbersome. There had to be a better way. And as a programmer and web developer I knew what that way was, a web interface accessible from anywhere, where players could be anywhere and still be able to fill a grid in time for a game. That led to the birth of this site, to make it easy for charities, schools or even just a group of friends to play football squares, to have an easy, flexible interface for make selections, tracking payments and displaying the winner.

Our goal is the to be the best site for playing football squares, to give people any easy way to manage and play the game, track payments and display the winners. And we hope that this will help the good causes of charities and fundraisers to generate money for their organizations as part of the fun.
